data analysis and visual graphicsExperience of knowledge management and information systems including SharePointExperience of other software packages including word, excel and PowerPoint and booking packagesExperience of collaboration with state agencies including Tusla and the HSEExperience of attending and giving evidence at a court hearingExtensive experience of conflict management, collaborative communication and boundary management at a personal and organisational levelExperience of policy development and implementationExperience of Tusla collaborative models including MeithealExperience of a range of intervention programmes including, NVR, Parent Plus, ETCQualificationsQualifications in Bachelor of Social Care or another relevant fieldPurpose of JobThe role of the Family Services Worker, is to maximise efficiency in Togher Family Centre, in the areas outlined belowTo work under the direction of the management teamTo support the vision of Togher Family Centre which is "A Future of Opportunity for All"Key Areas of WorkResponsible for the running of the Child Contact CentreSupervise child contact on behalf of TuslaComplete concise evidence-based court reportsAttend Court when requiredSupport families referred to TFC services by outside service providersMonitor and evaluate outcomes for familiesMeithealAct as a Lead Practitioner for families referred by the Meitheal ProgrammeChair meetings for the Meitheal ProgrammeParenting ProgrammePlan and deliver individual and group parenting coursesIdentify vulnerable/at risk children and families attending TFC servicesPlan and deliver therapeutic interventions in collaboration with the familyCommunicate with Early Years Services, The pod and Counselling Service with any issues or concernsHome VisitsConduct initial risk assessment ahead of schedule visit in line with TCC policies and proceduresConduct scheduled home visits to assess family needs and provide supportBuild positive, professional relationships with families in their home environmentMonitor child safety and well-being during visitsDeliver parenting guidance and practical supportDocument observations and interventions accurately in case recordsIdentify risks and escalate concerns in line with safeguarding procedures·Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate services for familiesNetworkingTo network with service providers and other agencies and be actively involved in relevant interagency workFacilitate networking at local and regional level as appropriateTo attend networking events facilitated by CFSN, PLC, etc.Health and SafetyLiaise with the Facilities and Health and Safety ManagerComply with and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines and safe professional practiceTo adhere to relevant legislation, regulations and standardsTo ensure that Health and Safety procedures are in place at all times for children and co- workersTo maintain appropriate records in relation to health and safety in accordance with TFC policies and proceduresStudent SupervisionTo supervise and mentor all students working within the Child Contact CentreAdministration· Attend court within the approval of the SLA and to keep detailed records of same· Attend/contribute to family welfare conferences· Attend/contribute to child protection case conferences· Call/participate professionals strategy meetings· Liaise with Child and Family Agency Social Workers· Liaise with outside service providers· Maintain up to date files and service data/statisticsKeep policies and procedures up to date with legislationTraining and Development·To work as part of a team and attend core team meetings· To attend regular supervisory sessions· To attend monthly Family Support meetings with the Deputy Director· To participate in ingoing training workshops seminars· To keep abreast of current development in the area of Family Support· To actively participate in relevant networks· To promote training opportunities to all staff membersPhysical Requirements· Staff members are required to be able to meet the physical requirements of the role which include and is not limited too Bendingo Carryingo Liftingo Pushingo Pullingo Standingo Sittingo Kneeling for extended periodso Reaching*We will endeavour to reasonably accommodate persons
