Vice President Fund Client Accounting Manager

Team/Role Overview
This is a critical Product Management role working with the senior European team responsible for shaping the future of Citi's Fund Accounting and Administration business. Reporting to the EMEA Head of Fund Accounting and Administration, you will leverage your existing deep hands‑on knowledge to materially improve and grow our functional design, while benefiting from the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals. You will work closely with operations, technology, and client teams across major fund domiciles (US, Lux, Ireland, Hong Kong, etc.), leading product plans, strategies, and capabilities throughout the product life cycle to ensure seamless execution, client satisfaction, and continued growth.
What you’ll do

Lead Target Operating Model Design: Partner with Operations and Technology to drive the design and implementation of the Global Target Operating Model for Fund Accounting and Administration.
Develop Location Strategy Roadmaps: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement roadmaps considering client experience, financial performance, risk, and scalability.
Enhance Operational Efficiency: Improve the operating model for existing clients to create scale, lower risk, and optimize the client experience.
Collaborate on Future State Architecture: Work with Business, Technology, Operations, Client Services, Finance, and Risk to deliver front‑to‑back business architectures enabling optimized solutions.
Communicate Strategic Vision: Socialize the future state vision with broader Product teams and ensure connectivity with Investor Services management, driving and owning the budget for change.
Ensure Governance and Compliance: Partner with Risk & Control teams to ensure appropriate governance for product capabilities, design, and technology changes.
Drive Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute the accounting and administration strategy, aligned to the wider Investor Services Strategy, leveraging customer needs and market trends.
Translate Client Needs into Products: Understand customer requirements, market positioning, and emerging trends to translate them into product features for broad client adoption.

What we’ll need from you

Extensive industry experience in Fund Accounting and Administration, preferably within the financial services industry, ideally with experience of InvestOne.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly articulating a long‑term vision to clients and across the company.
Superior strategic, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Deep experience in business process and technology architecture engineering/implementations, particularly for Funds Services (Traditional and Alts).
Thorough understanding of the Global Funds Regulatory environment, including the US, Ireland, UK, EMEA, and APAC.
Proven track record of delivering excellence for clients, demonstrating an outcome‑oriented approach.
Highly self‑motivated, independent, and capable of taking ownership in a global, matrixed organisation.
Disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity, with the maturity to interact and influence effectively across multiple levels.
Understanding of emerging products and required capabilities including digital assets, crypto currencies, and tokenization.

What we’ll need from you

Extensive Complex Assets/Derivatives industry experience, ideally in a Product Management capacity within financial services.
Deep and technical understanding of multi‑asset class OTC derivatives, including their lifecycle events.
Proven knowledge of Portfolio Swaps and Exchange Traded Derivatives.
Demonstrated experience in defining economic minimum data requirements for financial instruments.
Solid understanding of derivative technical market conventions, data models and the ability to address market events affecting valuation and processing.
Experience managing across multi‑function and/or global business.
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
