Based in our Naas office, Howden is delighted to have a vacancy for an Insurance Account Handler that will be part of our J.F. Dune team. This role is a full-time, office-based working opportunity.
About the role:
Reporting to the Personal Lines Manager, your primary responsibility will be to assist Account Executives in providing clients with appropriate advice and quality service to meet their individual insurance needs. You will be expected to treat customers fairly, adhere to regulatory obligations, uphold a professional image, and maximize business opportunities and profits for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prioritize and handle all work promptly and accurately.
2. Handle all queries, written or verbal, professionally and in line with service standards.
3. Produce accurate and professional documentation at all times.
4. Process adjustments according to procedures, including notifying insurers, issuing revised documentation, and collecting additional premiums.
5. Refer queries outside your experience or authority to senior staff.
6. Issue renewal documentation and input data.
7. Manage client payments following Howden procedures.
About You:
1. Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client assistance.
3. Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and deadlines, maintaining organized records, and supporting administrative duties.
4. Meticulous handling and review of policy documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
5. Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues to achieve common goals and deliver excellent service.
