Role Overview
The Audit Manager is a key link between our audit directors and the teams carrying out the engagements. This role offers fast‑track career progression to director and further advancement to partner.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute audit engagements, collaborating with directors to develop comprehensive audit plans that outline scope, objectives, and procedures.
Assist in developing and implementing audit management structures and processes.
Supervise audit teams, ensuring engagements are completed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with standards; mentor junior members.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, Irish GAAP) and regulatory requirements by working with the Head of Compliance.
Identify and assess risks within the organization, collaborating with audit directors to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and audit committees, and prepare audit reports summarizing findings and providing decision‑making insights.
Build and maintain client relationships, managing expectations and delivering high‑quality client service.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
Mentor and train junior audit team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
