RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager - Patient Flow for a nursing home in Co Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
* Ensure consistent application of the care center's policies and uphold the highest clinical standards.
* Collaborate with staff across departments to maintain standards, identify potential issues, and work with the nursing director to implement solutions.
* Review clinical procedures and documentation for residents with pressure sores, falls, or clinical illnesses to ensure appropriate management plans.
* Oversee nursing staff compliance and medication administration.
* Create monthly stock inventories and place orders accordingly.
* Review medication audits with the nursing director and work to improve standards.
* Communicate with pharmacists and GPs regarding drug audits and reviews.
* Maintain a visible presence with care assistants and staff nurses, participate in staff performance reviews and training with the nursing director.
* Monitor cleanliness, hygiene standards, and foster good communication among housekeeping, care assistants, and staff nurses.
* Ensure action plans are implemented and environmental and hygiene audits are conducted regularly.
* Conduct risk assessments, medication audits, health and safety audits, and develop risk management plans with the nursing director.
Requirements
* General nursing bachelor's degree or equivalent.
* Prior managerial training or experience is advantageous.
* Enrolled in the live NMBI register.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Strong decision-making abilities.
* Ability to motivate self and others, work independently, and promote teamwork.
