We're Hiring: Compliance & Safety Administrator Location: Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 Hours: 39 hours per week | Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Reports to: Head of Quality, Risk, Compliance & Patient Administration Role Overview: Compliance & Safety Administrator As a key member of our Quality & Risk team, the Compliance & Safety Administrator plays a vital role in fostering a culture of safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance across the hospital. Working closely with the Head of Quality, Risk, Compliance & Patient Administration, this role supports a variety of functions including Mental Health Act (MHA) administration, audit scheduling, incident and risk management, policy oversight, and quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Mental Health Act Administration Coordinate and manage Mental Health Tribunal processes Ensure compliance with all MHA 2001 statutory requirements Liaise with the Mental Health Commission and appointed legal and medical representatives Provide staff training on MHA obligations Quality & Compliance Monitor compliance with legislation and regulatory standards Manage the document control system (QPulse) Support internal audits and quality improvement plans Assist in regulatory inspection preparation (MHC, HSA, DGSA) Incident & Risk Management Maintain risk assessments and registers Daily review of incidents using QPulse Trend and analyze incident data Support mandatory incident reporting to NIMS Complaints & Feedback Assist in tracking and analyzing patient feedback Provide administrative support for complaint handling Administration & Projects Support electronic patient record (EPR) implementation Maintain tidy and accurate medical records Attend relevant hospital committees and groups Manage election voting for in-patient residents Qualifications & Experience Essential: Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant clinical or healthcare setting Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2001 and regulatory standards High proficiency in Microsoft Office, EPR systems, and QPulse (or equivalent) Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to build positive working relationships and influence teams Desirable: Experience in a mental health setting Third-level qualification in a health-related field Experience delivering staff training and writing reports Familiarity with healthcare regulatory inspections and audits
