Description
We are seeking a skilled Freight Forwarder to join our team at The Logiskills Group. As a leading freight forwarder in South Dublin, we specialize in road air express and consolidation movements. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage express groupage and consolidation shipments from origin to destination utilizing road and airfreight movements.
* Ensure efficient planning, coordination, and execution of freight movements.
* Handle end-to-end customs clearance procedures, including submission of accurate documentation.
* Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and facilitate prompt clearance of goods.
* Operate and manage processes using the Automated Import System (AIS).
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service and prompt resolution of queries.
* Liaise with carriers, agents, and customs authorities to ensure seamless operations.
* Prepare and verify all shipping and customs documentation.
* Maintain up-to-date records of shipments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company and legal standards.
* Resolve operational issues proactively to minimize delays or disruptions.
* Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in road and air freight forwarding with a focus on express groupage/consolidation.
* Proven experience in customs clearance, including hands-on AIS operations.
* Strong understanding of customs regulations, duties, and taxes.
* Familiarity with incoterms and international freight documentation.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing customer relationships.
* Proficient in freight forwarding and customs software.
* Good command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
