Job Description
This role presents an exciting opportunity to strengthen governance frameworks and enhance financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing internal controls, producing management reports, and preparing financial statements to Charity SORP standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective processes and internal controls to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
* Partner with volunteers and staff to support financial governance and enhance management accounting practices.
* Prepare year-end financial statements in line with Charities SORP standards.
* Create finance-related content for the organisation's website and take part in annual stakeholder presentations.
* Support day-to-day finance operations during peak periods, including external audits, and contribute to special projects as required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in an accountant or relevant third-level qualification with experience in a financial environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to work effectively with diverse groups, including volunteers and staff.
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting and governance principles.
* Experience in implementing internal controls and producing management reports.
* Ability to prepare financial statements to Charity SORP standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in IT systems, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to meet strict deadlines.
* Full driving licence and the right to work in Ireland.
