Station Manager – Airport Operations

We're looking for a motivated and commercially minded Station Manager to shape the future of our Services concession at our Dublin airport operations.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll build a strong, engaged team and deliver a first-class passenger experience - while driving financial and operational success.
Position Summary
The Station Manager directs all airport operations by building and developing a strong team of front-line supervisors and support staff. The Station Manager is responsible to ensure increasing levels of customer satisfaction and employee engagement while building a culture of accountability, performance and integrity. The Station Manager is responsible for the airport's P&L, achieving annual EBITDA goals as well as improving the efficiency of labour, materials and equipment. The Station Manager is a highly visible position, which will drive value and significantly impact bottom-line profitability at Smart Carte.
What You'll Do
In this pivotal role you will:
* Lead and inspire a team of supervisors and front-line staff, building a culture of accountability, performance and integrity.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth service at all times.
* Take full P&L ownership, meeting annual EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) goals and maximising revenue opportunities.
* Use data and KPIs to identify efficiencies, improve productivity and continuously enhance service quality.
* Recruit, coach, and develop talented people, keeping headcount within budget.
* Build strong relationships across the airport community and within our wider EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) team.
* Act swiftly on customer feedback and create long-term improvements that delight passengers.
What We're Looking For
You'll be a proactive, customer-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys finding smart solutions.
Ideally you will bring:
* At least 3 years' operational experience (e.g. retail, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or process improvement).
* Minimum 1 year of direct management experience leading diverse teams.
* Previous aviation or airport-related experience (such as ground handling, concessions, rental cars, or airport retail).
* Proven P&L and budget management skills.
* Excellent English communication: knowledge of Gaeilge is advantageous.
* A degree in operations management or a related field - or equivalent professional experience.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret KPIs to drive financial outcomes.
* Solid understanding of Irish labour law and the ability to navigate complex organisational environments.
