The salary on offer for this role is€58,847, this works out at an hourly rate of €32.33.The successful candidate will alsoaccrue 29 days annual leavepa. and will also be paid for anybank holidays.This is atemporary position; the initial contract length will range from3-6 monthswith the possibility of extension thereafter.Summary of role:The Senior Accounts Officer is a key role within the Finance Team in Corporate Services, responsible for managing key projects within the team, supporting the effective financial management of the organisation's financial operations. The role contributes to accurate financial reporting, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and supports the wider organisation in achieving its strategic objectives.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in their work. They will be organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative and working independently.Principle tasks:Preparation of monthly management accounts to final review stage to strict deadlinesMonthly balance sheet reconciliations & journal postingsPreparation of reporting packs and analysis as required by various stakeholdersOverseeing debtor invoicing & credit controlOverseeing bank processing and reconciliationsPreparation & filing of Revenue returns including VAT, RCT & RTD returnsSupporting internal audit process including timely provision of information and liaising with auditorsCoordination of external audits in conjunction with Head of FinanceAd hoc duties to support Head of Finance and wider teamDeputising for Head of Finance if requiredOther:To perform any other related duties as might reasonably be required and which may be assigned from time to time.Education, experience, training:Essential:A minimum of 3 years' procurement and contracts management experience in a busy Relevant professional qualification in accounting or finance or working towards same.Minimum of 3 years' experience in a fast-paced, financial environmentExcellent financial and IT skills and high level of attention to detailConsistently meet tight deadlines across a range of tasks while maintaining accuracyStrong communication skills and confidentiality essentialDesirable:Public Sector experience.Experience in Power BI and Dynamics 365 Business Central.Experience in Finance Systems implementation and continuous improvement.Other attributes required for this position:Dynamic and reliable.An ability to work in an organised manner and progress work independently.Self-sufficient while being a good team player.Experience in collaborating with technical staff.Ability to work diplomatically in resolving issues with stakeholders.This position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable you will be required to obtain these prior to commencing in this roleUnijobs is an equal opportunities employer
