We are looking for a confident, friendly, and highly organised person with proven experience in a similar role to join our busy, patient-focused wellness clinic in Douglas.
About the role
This is not your average reception job — while answering phones, greeting patients, and booking appointments are part of your day, a large part of this role involves managing payments, keeping accounts up-to-date, and having clear, polite financial conversations with patients. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the clinic's finances and appointment management system.
Our clinic operates in a fully digital environment, with an automated check-in to check-out system. Full training will be provided, but being comfortable and confident with technology is essential.
Key responsibilities:
* Answer phones, respond to enquiries, and manage appointment bookings.
* Process payments and issue receipts.
* Keep accurate financial and patient account records.
* Ensure all patient accounts are settled promptly at the end of each appointment, maintaining professionalism and a positive patient experience.
* Work closely with the clinic owner to monitor accounts and cash flow.
* Perform light administrative duties to support the clinical team.
We're looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience in a similar role involving accounts, payment collection, or credit control (essential).
* Is confident speaking to people about money in a tactful, professional manner.
* Is organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
* Has strong communication skills and a friendly manner with patients.
* Is comfortable with technology and can work confidently in a high-tech, fully automated environment.
* Learns new systems quickly and pays attention to detail.
What we offer:
* A supportive, welcoming workplace.
* Competitive pay based on experience.
* Initially part-time hours, with the potential to increase to full-time for the right candidate.
* The chance to be a valued part of a growing healthcare clinic.
If you have the skills, experience, and confidence to manage both our front desk and our finances — and you enjoy working with people — we'd love to hear from you.
