Job Title: Operations Manager - Short-Term Support
Description:
This is a key operational role that requires strong team leadership, operational management, and organisational skills. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure effective service delivery, staff coordination, and issue resolution. They will also provide leadership in the absence of service leads, support staff performance, monitor rosters and attendance, and maintain accountability.
Responsibilities:
• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations of refuge and outreach services, ensuring effective service delivery, staff coordination, and issue resolution.
• Staff Management & Supervision: Provide leadership in the absence of service leads, support staff performance, monitor rosters and attendance, and maintain accountability.
• Policy, Procedure & Compliance: Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures, conduct internal audits, and escalate safeguarding or quality concerns.
• Administration, Reporting & Compliance: Manage databases, ensure accurate data entry, prepare reports, support audits, and assist with fundraising and financial admin tasks.
• Liaison with Leadership: Work closely with the CEO on operational decisions, quality standards, and weekly reporting.
• Team Coordination: Facilitate effective inter-team communication, meetings, and implementation of service programming in the absence of key coordinators.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in operations or service management in social care, housing, healthcare, or similar sectors. They will possess proven team management and accountability-building skills, be highly organised with strong attention to detail and task completion, and be capable of working independently while effectively reporting to leadership. Additionally, they will have experience in policy and procedure implementation, strong communication, people management, and conflict resolution abilities, as well as being calm, flexible, and solution-focused in high-pressure settings. A full clean driver's licence and access to transport are also required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in women's services, crisis accommodation, or charitable organisations, knowledge of compliance in the Irish not-for-profit sector, and project management experience are all desirable qualifications for this role.
