The Duty Manager plays a pivotal role in driving hotel revenue and profit growth by capitalizing on sales opportunities and ensuring seamless operations throughout the property.
Reporting directly to the F&B Operations Manager and General Manager, this individual will oversee the efficient operation and security of all areas within the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure thorough handover briefings at the beginning of each shift to stay informed about events and special requirements.
* Maintain a visible presence in Front of House areas and serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
* Conduct regular checks on each department to ensure awareness of the Manager on Duty.
* Verify adequate staffing in all areas and address any discrepancies promptly.
* Provide exceptional service to VIP customers, including room checks and meeting their specific requests.
* Adhere to liquor licensing legislation and company policies regarding procedures.
* Perform security and fire walks, completing relevant records as necessary.
* Act as Fire Marshall while on duty, being thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures and alarms.
* Ensure completion of checklists and reports before the end of each shift.
* Carr out a thorough handover to the next Manager at the end of the shift to maintain continuity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a F&B Supervisor is required for this position.
