Flexsource is currently recruiting for a Quality Technician for our Client based in Kildare
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Assisting with developing LEAN systems to improve quality and manufacturing execution times.
2. Conducting internal quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and auditing standards, and supporting continuous improvement protocols.
3. Managing quality records, analyzing, reviewing, and investigating non-conformances and customer complaints.
4. Liaising with customers' auditors to ensure corrective actions are executed and customer specifications are met.
5. Collaborating with the Quality Manager to develop, implement, and maintain a quality plan that aligns with national and international standards and legislation.
6. Communicating effectively with departments to maintain product supply and facilitate new product introductions through process flow establishment.
7. Working with purchasing staff to define quality requirements for external suppliers.
8. Performing tests and checks to ensure standards are met, following standard operating procedures.
9. Developing and updating comprehensive quality procedures, including technical and management reports/SOPs, to support continuous improvements.
10. Maintaining quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process, and finished goods.
11. Establishing clear quality methods and providing training to staff as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
12. Setting service standards for customers, responding to queries, and providing relevant product and process information.
13. Creating trend reports on internal and external NCRs.
14. Supporting the Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with the IPPC License, monitoring reports, and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree or third-level qualification in Science, Food, or Production.
* Experience in internal auditing is advantageous.
* Manufacturing experience is a distinct advantage.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Results-driven with the ability to work independently.
* Experience with QMS systems and preparing for external audits.
* Detail-oriented, results-oriented, capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
* Ability to work well under pressure, with excellent organizational skills, meeting deadlines, and managing priorities.
* Dependable, adaptable, creative, and self-motivated.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
