Overview
My client, a leading independent planning consultancy in Dublin, is seeking both an Assistant Planner and an Executive Planner to join their growing team. The practice has been expanding year-on-year, with a reputation for delivering high-quality planning solutions across a wide range of projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, infrastructure, and urban regeneration.

Location and Experience
Location: Dublin
Experience: Assistant – 1+ year (ideally 2), Executive – 3+ years
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage planning applications, appeals, and related documentation
* Undertake report writing, policy research, and feasibility assessments
* Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to support projects
* Work collaboratively within a supportive, open-plan office culture
* For Executive Planner: independently manage a portfolio of projects, attend design team meetings, and lead client communications
Requirements
* 1+ year experience in a planning consultancy (10 months may be considered, 2 years ideal)
* Good knowledge of the Irish planning system
* Strong report-writing skills and a hands-on approach
* Masters in Planning (IPI/RTPI accredited) ideal but not essential – related degrees (e.g. Geography) considered
* Passion for planning and development, with GIS experience an advantage
Executive Planner
* 3+ years’ post-graduate planning experience (Ireland/UK)
* Proven track record preparing and managing applications and reports
* Confident in engaging with planning authorities and managing client relationships
* Ability to manage projects independently
