Senior Software Architect - Financial Domain

1. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to join our dynamic team within a global financial services organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll design, develop, and maintain application development frameworks to integrate both vendor and proprietary solutions.

What You Will Do
4. Lead the design and enhancement of core development frameworks, utilities, and reusable components.
5. Build and maintain critical services supporting deployments across multiple delivery workstreams.
6. Define and implement coding standards, policies, and best practices for development teams.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver foundational capabilities in line with business needs.
8. Review solution designs to ensure alignment with architectural and security standards.
9. Champion CI/CD best practices and modern release pipelines.
10. Act as a technical SME, guiding projects of high complexity and risk.
11. Drive consensus and collaboration between technical and functional stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
12. Proven track record in Java-based microservices (Spring Boot) and back-end development.
13. Expertise with SQL/NoSQL databases, MQ/Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
14. Strong experience in data modelling, batch/streaming architectures, and system integration.
15. Financial services background, ideally in trade surveillance or global markets (asset classes, products, and trade lifecycle).
16. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
17. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
18. Familiarity with agile methodologies and cloud technologies.
Requirements
19. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
20. 7+ years' experience in software development and architecture.
21. In-depth knowledge of trade lifecycle, order flow, and market structures.
