Senior Project Manager
Lawler Consulting is a successful multi‑disciplinary engineering business with a head office in Kilkenny and a client base that stretches across Ireland, UK, Europe and the Middle East. We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage a range of projects across multiple sectors.
Requirements
Holder of a Trade Qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical field – Level 6 Advanced Craft Certification or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in the management & supervision of mechanical &or electrical installations (Building Services).
Good understanding of electrical &or mechanical systems (Building Services).
Experience of client, project team & contractor interaction.
Understanding of Irish Building Regulations, CIBSE Design Guides, Irish Electrical Regulations, Irish & British Standards and Health & Safety Regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Self‑motivated and willing to demonstrate initiative.
Ability to manage multiple sites concurrently (with support from our Design Department).
Ability to efficiently and promptly deal with on‑site issues as they arise.
Work closely with the Design Department to keep drawings & specifications up to date and deliver key information to site in a timely manner.
Regular liaison with client & design team to ensure smooth delivery on time and on budget.
Provide information to PSDP for the preparation of the Health and Safety File and to PSCS for the Project Supervisor Construction Stage.
Prepare Building Control Regulations M&E inspection plan and M&E input into the Certificate of Compliance Design.
Attend weekly site meetings and mechanical & electrical coordination meetings.
Review & sign off technical submittals of plant & materials, and prepare site‑specific method statements for scheduled power outages, upgrades and integration of new systems.
Manage alterations and embellishments of utilities supplies such as ESB, Gas & Telecoms.
Advise client & design team on cost reduction through value engineering and re‑use of materials & systems.
Inspect progress and quality of works, witness and sign off emergency systems, schedule and witness commissioning of all air & water systems.
Gather information for and issue ancillary certificates for submission to Building Control.
Complete detailed snag, handover As‑Built drawings & documentation and review the Safety File.
Provide analysis on all Mechanical & Electrical variations submitted in the final account and assess credibility.
Responsibilities

Oversee mechanical and electrical installations, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Coordinate with design teams, contractors and clients to maintain project schedules and budgets.
Prepare and review site‑specific method statements, submittals, inspection plans and certificates.
Attend site and coordination meetings, monitor construction progress, and address issues promptly.
Write and sign off emergency systems, air & water system commissioning, and snag reports.
Handle handover of As‑Built drawings, documentation and safety files.
