Homeware Procurement Specialist

In this role, you will select and source products that align with market trends and customer preferences. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Additionally, you will monitor inventory levels and work within agreed parameters to optimise stock levels. Developing competitive pricing strategies to drive profitability and protect margins is also key.
You will collaborate with marketing on promotional calendars to support sales growth. Analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and sales data to inform product decisions is crucial in this position. Ensuring the right product assortment is available across all retail locations is also a key responsibility.
Your role will involve working closely with internal teams to manage demand forecasting and replenishment. Tracking category performance and adjusting product offerings based on sales and customer feedback are essential tasks.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in a Category Manager or Buying role (homeware, fashion or DIY preferred). They will have a track record of driving commercial success through smart procurement and product decisions. Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and forecasts are required. Commercial acumen with a focus on margins, pricing, and profitability is essential.
A confident negotiator, able to secure favourable terms with suppliers, is required. The ability to stay up-to-date on market trends and innovations within the retail industry is also important. Experience in managing large-scale budgets for product buying is necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with teams and partners, are also key.
