The Cybersecurity Project Manager will be responsible for all the project management needs for assigned projects within the Cybersecurity portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing large-scale cybersecurity projects with a proven track record of delivering on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership, collaboration, and risk mitigation skills, as well as the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. McKesson is looking for a seasoned candidate to support existing projects as well as introduce new practices and processes based on latest trends and market demands. This role will require strong communication, organization, self-learning, and project management skills.
What You’ll Do:
Direct and Drive Program Delivery:
Spearhead the planning, execution, and monitoring of cybersecurity programs. Ensure that programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the defined objectives and regulatory requirements.
Cultivate and Manage Resources:
Lead efforts to allocate resources effectively across cybersecurity projects and programs. Develop methods to balance resource constraints with project demands, ensuring optimal utilization.
Drive Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Cultivate a proactive approach to risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with cybersecurity projects. Ensure that risk management practices are integrated into program planning and execution.
Manage Project Communications and Engagement with Stakeholders:
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including cross-functional teams. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and achievements to ensure alignment and support.
Lead Performance Evaluation:
Implement metrics and performance indicators to monitor the effectiveness of cybersecurity projects. Report on project performance, outcomes, and areas for improvement to leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
4+ years of professional project management experience with proven planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).
Effective leadership, training and presentation skills, and experience in leading multiple, highly-diverse teams to achieve results.
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP) in relevant disciplines are preferred.
Additional Skills
Proven experience in cybersecurity portfolio and program management.
Strong knowledge of the NIST/NICE framework and its application in cybersecurity program management.
