Salary Scale: €59,662 – €70,624 pro rata per annum (subject to increases in 2025 per the WRC agreement)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum
Overview of the Post
The post holder will provide a clinical nutrition & dietetic service to Service Users referred by the Children’s Disability Network Teams. This involves dietetic counselling and support for Service Users and their families, including initial consultations and ongoing reviews. The role requires specialised knowledge of nutritional difficulties associated with intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and physical & sensory disabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide evidence‑based dietetic advice and support to children with disabilities and their families. Conduct initial and ongoing dietetic reviews. Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to optimise nutritional care. Maintain accurate records and contribute to service quality improvement.
Essential Criteria
* Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
* Minimum of 3 years full‑time (or equivalent) post‑qualification dietetic experience.
* Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgement and fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
* Proof of statutory registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by CORU before employment starts.
* Commitment to maintaining annual registration on the Dietitians Register during employment.
Desirable Criteria
* Postgraduate experience working with children with disabilities in a community‑based setting.
* Postgraduate paediatric dietetic experience.
* Postgraduate INDI paediatric course.
* Membership of INDI.
