Title: Quality Controller
Location: Navan, Meath
The role of the Quality Controller is to work closely with the Quality Manager in maintaining Quality Control / HACCP procedures daily. The role involves testing and examining all produce to ensure the highest standards of quality are achieved for all customers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Carrying out quality inspections on produce at intake, repack, and finished product stages.
* Completing daily record keeping, such as intake and dispatch checks, sending quality reports to suppliers, reviewing raw material quality, and communicating quality issues to relevant departments.
* Ensuring HACCP principles are continuously met for product safety and process control.
* Maintaining BRC requirements as per standards and ensuring traceability for all lines.
* Cross-checking traceability for each delivery and liaising with suppliers to obtain traceability information in advance.
* Assisting in routine internal audits and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
Qualifications / Experience
* A degree in Food Science or a related field is desirable but not essential.
* Relevant certifications such as BRC / IFS Food Safety Certification, HACCP, Bord Bia, and experience with Food Service and Retailer Codes of Practice are essential.
* Experience in FMCG is a distinct advantage.
