The role
12 Month Contract (likely to be extended or made permanent)
A Dublin City-based financial services firm is looking for a Senior QA Analyst to join the team on a rolling contract basis. This role will suit someone with strong financial markets knowledge, solid SQL skills, and a hands‑on approach to testing across complex trading and operational systems.
Responsibilities
Design, write, and execute test cases across business‑critical applications.
Support defect management, bug triage, and test execution with minimal supervision.
Test across trading and investment operations platforms including OMS, PMS, Security Master, reconciliation, and trade feed systems.
Perform cash, balance, and position reconciliation testing.
Work closely with business and technology teams to support front‑to‑back trading workflows.
Use AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to help generate test cases, refine test plans, analyse logs, and speed up defect investigation.
Apply AI to repetitive QA tasks, data validation, and large‑scale reconciliation checks.
Requirements
5+ years’ QA experience, ideally within financial services.
Strong product knowledge across Fixed Income, Equities, FX, and Options.
Buy‑side experience is preferred, with hedge fund exposure seen as a strong advantage.
Strong SQL skills, including query writing, debugging, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and CTEs.
Good understanding of database structures, schema design, and joins.
Experience testing database‑heavy applications, ideally within SQL Server environments.
Experience with SFTP setup, file encryption, and job scheduling tools such as Active Batch or Tidal.
Nice to have
Automation testing experience using TestComplete or a similar framework.
Exposure to .NET technologies such as WPF, WinForms, or ASP.NET.
