Ohshima Ireland LTDis currently seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join our team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare.

Job Description
* Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
* Set up and adjust CNC machines, including tool selection and fixture setup.
* Interpret and work from technical drawings, models, and specifications.
* Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure components meet required tolerances.
* Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with company quality standards and health & safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine settings, and modifications.
* Work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.
* Provide training and mentorship to junior machinists and operators on CNC programming, machine setup, and best practices.
* Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
* Ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100/Other Quality Standards
* Work to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 3 years of experience in 5-axis CNC machining preferable
* Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming
* Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines desired but not essential
* Familiarity with Hypermill Software desired but not essential
* Familiarity with Heidenheim controllers desired but not essential
* Ability to inspect parts using callipers, micrometres, and CMMs
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Training will be provided in areas where skills and knowledges gaps are identified.
