Our client is on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic Purchasing Assistant to join their Purchasing Team!
Location: Ballymount, Dublin Salary: €30,000 - €35,000 Your Role: As the Purchasing Assistant, you will report directly to the Head of Operations and play an essential role in supporting various teams, including warehouse, sales, accounts, customer service, and suppliers.
Your responsibilities will include: Primary Tasks: *Processing daily purchase orders *Providing support to the Purchasing, Customer Services, and Sales teams *Handling general procurement administration Inventory Management: *Assisting with inventory trending, min-max levels, safety stock, expiry reports, and bulk management *Supporting the team with stock management oversight and addressing supplier returns, open POs, and logistics queries *Managing pricing inquiries Supplier Relations: *Liaising with suppliers, attending meetings, and strengthening existing relationships *Assisting with data and business analysis to meet supplier reporting deadlines *Sourcing inventory in compliance with industry regulations Problem Solving: *Conducting ad hoc reporting as needed *Providing assistance during ISO audits *Meeting month-end deadlines and daily KPIs Key Requirements: *Previous experience in a Purchasing Team is a plus *SAP experience is advantageous *A self-starter with an analytical mindset *Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously *Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive telephone manner Adecco Ireland is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
