Our Regulatory Consulting practice consists of approximately 50 Regulatory professionals who collaborate with Risk Consulting on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
* Process, systems and controls – Assist clients with establishing an effective governance, risk, and control environment by evaluating controls, business and technology alignment, regulatory requirements, risk processes, metrics and reporting, and risk frameworks for end-to-end AML/CTF requirements.
* Performance Improvement – Help clients align operating infrastructures with their strategies; assess and redesign business, risk, and control processes; refine AML operating models.
* Assess AML/CFT frameworks, policies, processes, procedures, systems and controls; recommend enhancements using KPMG methodology across the three lines of defense.
* Undertake AML/CFT Business Risk Assessments to understand ML/TF risks in clients’ businesses and the effectiveness of their controls to mitigate these risks, per regulatory expectations.
* Assess policy, process, IT and data lineage to support effective customer risk management and appropriate transaction monitoring and reporting.
* Support design and implementation of automation projects and system updates within client teams.
* Manage and assess impact of operational implementation of technology and policy changes; drive continuous improvements to data quality and client service levels.
* Support clients before or after regulatory inspections for AML/CFT.
* Continually develop expertise across the industry.
Qualifications
* Degree and professional qualification in governance, risk and compliance; AML/Financial Crime qualification preferred (e.g., ACAMS).
* Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2+ years at management level.
* Strong experience in governance, risk and compliance, AML/CTF, sanctions programs, and financial crime controls.
* Experience on AML frameworks including risk assessments, policies, processes, procedures, governance, support system design/implementation, or end-to-end operating models.
* Solid understanding of legislative and regulatory environments and ability to interpret regulatory requirements.
* Excellent team leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience or training in professional services is an advantage.
