We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Deputy Director to join our growing events management team. Reporting to the Director of The Round Room, you will play a key leadership role in the planning, coordination, and execution of high-profile events.
Location: Dawson Street, Dublin 2
Salary: €60,000 plus KPI €5,000
Position: full time, permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and manage the events team, including scheduling, reviews, and development.
* Oversee all operational, production, and logistical aspects of large-scale events from concept to delivery.
* Manage multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of service.
* Build and sustain excellent client relationships through proactive communication and attention to detail.
* Manage client meetings, site visits, and event proposals, with a focus on upselling opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with clients on event budgets, offering creative solutions within scope.
* Ensure flawless execution and consistency across all event touchpoints and communications.
* Work collaboratively across departments to coordinate catering, AV, Lighting, and other elements.
* Maintain accurate event documentation within the Event System, including client information, function sheets, floorplans.
* Adopt a flexible, hands-on approach and support events outside standard hours when required.
The Ideal Deputy Director
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior events management or deputy director role.
* Proven background managing complex, large-scale corporate or hospitality events.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative, motivating style.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under time pressure.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and solutions-focused approach.
* Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences end-to-end.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* A degree in Event Management, Project Management, or a related field is an advantage.
