We are looking for a Sales Engineer to service our customers in the mid‑west region (Connacht and Ulster counties in the Republic). This will be an entry‑to‑medium level role to help you enhance your sales and technical skills but also with plenty of room to grow.
The role involves the following tasks.
Account Discovery – Target new potential clients, learn about their challenges, and offer ifm solutions to improve their automation processes through onsite face‑to‑face visits and virtual meetings to build long‑lasting business relationships.
Technical support/Consultation – Advise customers on the how, where, and why using our application and engineering knowledge, including after‑sale support and system issue resolution.
Project management – Manage projects from discovery to closing, including account or application research, customer presentations, solution development with relevant contacts, fine‑tuning solutions or special pricing, tendering proposals, and aligning delivery for installation.
This exciting role offers the opportunity to work within a variety of manufacturing industries and different applications, so no two days will ever be the same.
The ideal candidate will be a self‑driven, motivated, technically minded professional with a customer‑service mindset.
Knowledge of electrical wiring, PLC fieldbus wiring, sensor technology, mechanical/manufacturing engineering is an advantage but not essential. Full product and system training will be provided.
