Reperio has partnered with a leading public sector organisation to seek an experienced Senior Software Developer/Technical Lead with strong hands-on expertise in .NET and full-stack web development. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, contributing to and managing the delivery of robust web-based applications and services. You will play a key role in modernising systems and supporting national programmes across a wide-ranging education and training landscape.
Responsibilities:
1. Hands-on full-stack development using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem
2. Lead and mentor a development team; conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance
3. Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications
4. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
5. Produce and maintain documentation, including business requirements and functional specs
6. Contribute to architectural decisions and future-proofing of platforms
7. Support project delivery with accurate estimation, scheduling, and reporting
8. Participate in testing, deployment, and support of applications in production
9. Stay current with industry trends and implement best practices
10. Represent the organisation in cross-functional meetings and technical working groups
Requirements:
11. 7+ years of professional experience in software development on medium to large-scale projects
12. 3+ years' experience in a technical lead or team lead capacity
13. Strong .NET / C# full-stack development experience, including: MVC / .NET CoreSQL ServerVisual Studio IDEIIS, TFS, Git, Azure DevOpsRESTful APIs, JSON
14. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Graph API, and modern authentication/authorisation (OAuth, MFA)
15. Understanding of secure coding practices and application lifecycle management
16. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment
17. NFQ/QQI Level 8 IT-related qualification (or equivalent)
18. Ongoing professional development encouraged and supported
Desirable:
19. Experience with SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, or Tableau
20. Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and claims-based authentication
21. Exposure to, Webpack, or AI-based chatbot integration
22. Formal training or certification in Agile methodologies or project management
