What will your day look like?
As a Store Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the service operation in our retail store. You will ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and be responsible for motivating and invigorating all of your employees to provide our customers with the best store experience, fresh food offerings and customer service at all times, thus hitting key store targets. You will also promote a positive culture of a proactive approach to all HSE rules and regulations, with a safety‑first mindset in everything we do.
Your Responsibilities
* To oversee and ensure the smooth running of the store.
* Collaborate with your Regional Store Manager to set, monitor and achieve sales targets for gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs.
* Induct and train new employees to the highest standards in all aspects of their role, in accordance with policies, procedures and best practice of the company.
* Ensure security and health and safety standards are upheld, protecting customers and employees through a safe store environment during COVID‑19 and thereafter.
* Encourage staff to engage in upselling promotional offers and train staff to identify opportunities to upsell.
* Manage stock control and all processes around it in line with company standards.
* Manage employee rostering, annual leave and practice good GDPR measures with these records in line with our GDPR policy.
* Ensure merchandising and presentation of the entire store is always of the highest standard and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines, ensuring social distancing guidelines are adhered to.
* Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working with a positive can‑do attitude and lead by example.

Personal attributes and qualifications
* Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a dynamic retail management position.
* Proven skills managing people and communicating effectively.
* A proven track record of hitting KPIs/targets.
* Hands‑on exposure to stock management, financial management & reporting systems.
* Strong knowledge and experience of reading and actioning reports.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
