We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Main Contractor with over a century of active presence in the construction industry for a Health & Safety Officer in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, expanding team working on a variety of prestigious, high-value projects. Key Responsibilities Ensure safety remains the number one priority, filtering a positive safety ethos down to all site personnel and subcontractors. Monitor and evaluate site conditions; promote improvement and prevention through advice, education, and enforcement of legislation. Prepare and update Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Safety Statements. Assist in internal company health and safety audits and attend site meetings as required. Advise the SHEQ Manager on staff safety development and training requirements. Monitor and contribute to the continuous improvement of company safety policies. Candidate Requirements A Health & Safety Degree Qualification is essential. Minimum of 5 yearsexperience on construction sites. A proven history of working on accident-free sites within the industry. Experience with ISO, and Safe-T-Cert is highly advantageous. Strong working knowledge of current H&S Legislation and best practice guidelines. Previous experience drafting tender documentation and pre-qualifications is a distinct advantage. A strong team player with a positive attitude, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to influence personnel at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database applications. Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification. A full, clean driver's licence is required for this role.
