The role of the Automation Engineer focus on designing, integrating, and maintaining automated assembly systems for the engineering environment. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with automation technologies and a strong desire to grow with the company. They will be well-versed in all automation & maintenance processes as well as health and safety regulations. Key Roles: Design, integrate, and maintain automated assembly systems for components (including springs and magnets). Collaborate with tooling and molding teams to ensure seamless automation integration. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for automation equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues to minimize downtime. Manage vendor relationships for automation equipment sourcing and FAT/SAT processes. Support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ for automated systems. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent experience. 35 years of experience in automation engineering within manufacturing or assembly environments. Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and basic robotics. Familiarity with vision systems and mechanical assembly automation. Knowledge of injection molding processes and component assembly. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
