Children's Disability Services Job
Clinical Psychologist role available for children and adolescents with complex disabilities in a dedicated community setting.
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support children’s development.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create tailored care plans, promoting holistic well-being and family engagement.
* Offer clinical supervision, consultation, and training to enhance professional growth and service quality.
* Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in accordance with service protocols.
* Participate in ongoing service development, policy implementation, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in child psychology.
Required Qualifications
1. Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Educational Psychology, validated by the relevant Irish department.
2. Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a clinical setting.
3. Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
4. Strong assessment and therapeutic skills across various clinical presentations.
5. Experience supporting children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
6. Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
8. Previous experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
9. Training in specific therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, or systemic therapy.
10. Experience delivering training or psychoeducation to families or professionals.
