We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Catering Manager to support the delivery of high-quality food services across a modern healthcare environment.This is a great opportunity to join a respected Dublin institution where food quality, service excellence, and patient care truly come first.This role will oversee day-to-day operations across inpatient meals, main kitchen, restaurant, hospitality and coffee dock services — ensuring exceptional service for patients, staff and visitors.Key Responsibilities:Manage and inspire a large, multi-disciplinary catering team across patient, staff, and hospitality services.Oversee daily operations to ensure timely, high-quality meal delivery aligned with nutritional and therapeutic requirements.Maintain and enforce full food-safety compliance, including HACCP and best-practice hygiene standards.Support HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, performance development, and rostering.Drive continuous improvement across menus, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.Control departmental budgets, monitor expenditure, and identify cost-efficiency opportunities.Ensure full compliance with regulatory, safety, and hospital policies at all times.Track KPIs and lead quality-assurance initiatives, audits, and ongoing service reviews.Build strong relationships with clinical, facilities, and support teams to optimise service.Oversee procurement, supplier relationships, and stock control to maintain seamless operations.The Ideal Candidate:Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience within catering, hospitality, or contract food services.Experience within healthcare / hospital environment an advantage.Strong working knowledge of HACCP and food-safety management systems.Proven ability to manage a wide range of dietary needs.Innovative mindset, able to bring new ideas and initiatives to all aspects of the role, including auditing, training and leading.Excellent communication skills with a customer-centred mindset.A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational ability.Financial awareness and experience managing budgets or cost controls.Ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams.Resilience, adaptability, and the confidence to manage a large team in a fast-paced environment.This is a fixed-term contract role.If you’re passionate about elevating food service standards in a patient-first environment, we’d love to hear from you!
