Educational Qualifications:
1. Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
2. Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MBA) with a focus on Sales, Marketing, or International Business.
- Certifications in Account Management or Sales Leadership (e.g., Strategic Account Management Association - SAMA).
Required Experience:
* Min 5+ years of total account management experience, with at least 2+ years in key account management roles within the FMCG industry.
* Proven track record in managing key accounts, such as large retailers, wholesalers, or e-commerce platforms, specific to the FMCG sector.
* Experience handling high-velocity product portfolios, promotional strategies, and channel-specific challenges.
* In-depth knowledge of the European (Ireland) FMCG market, including consumer preferences, retailer dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience working with major European retailers like Cosco, Sainbury’s, Musgrave, Supervalu, Dunnes stores, Costcutter Ireland, Carrefour, Tesco, Lidl Stiftung, or similar chains.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Develop account-specific strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services.
- Negotiate terms, contracts, and pricing with key clients to ensure mutual benefit.
- Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform strategy.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for account growth.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, product development) to ensure client requirements are met.
- Align account strategies with the company’s broader business goals.
- Prepare and present detailed account performance reports, including forecasts and progress against targets.
- Track and analyze key metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Organize and participate in client meetings, reviews, and events to deepen relationships.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
