Job Title: Innovative Product Development Specialist
The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team tasked with the development of catheter shafts from concept through to process validation and transfer to operations. The successful candidate will have experience in product and process design, process optimization, and scale-up.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be an integral part of the team developing catheter shafts from concept to process validation and transfer to operations
• Work closely with PMO, Operations, Quality, and other departments to ensure smooth handoffs and successful process development and implementation
• Build a partnership with customers and support technical content during customer calls and visits
• Troubleshoot technical issues during feasibility, development, validation, scale-up, and manufacturing, providing solutions to design and process challenges
• Prepare detailed documentation in line with project needs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
Requirements:
• A Level 8 Engineering or Science degree or equivalent qualification
• At least 5 years' experience in a Medical NPD environment
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), or other process optimization methodologies
• Technical expertise in catheter shaft manufacturing techniques, including braiding, coiling, reflow, and thermal/adhesive bonding
• Working knowledge of biocompatible metal and polymer materials
• Proficiency with engineering tools, including DOE, SPC, and Minitab
• Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
