Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and contributing to our reputation for estimation excellence.
* Prepare detailed estimates by compiling takeoffs based on project scope and entering data into computer estimating systems.
* Review technical specifications and employer requirements for proposed design and build HV substations and windfarms.
* Maintain effective communication with various departments and ensure timely submission of tenders.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Electrical Estimator, your primary focus will be on managing multiple projects simultaneously, anticipating potential issues, and advising the bid team on project risks and solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for:
* Following up on submitted tenders and documenting relevant feedback.
* Attending post-tender meetings and collaborating with the construction team during project handovers.
Successful candidates will possess a 3rd-level qualification in electrical engineering, building services engineering, construction economics, quantity surveying, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry is required, with at least 2 years in a similar senior electrical estimator position. Experience working within the power and renewables sector is highly desirable.
