Horizons De-congregation Expression of Interest (EOI) An opportunity has arisen for Horizons staff to express their interest in transferring to one of our new community settings. We are excited to announce that Horizons will be supporting 3 residents, 2 women and 1 gentleman to relocate from Hollyhill to their new home at 2 The Steeples, Silversprings Rd, Mayfield Cork. Residents are interested in walking, all types of music genres, attendance at mass, vintage films, cooking and most importantly being an active community member. This is a wonderful opportunity for you as a staff member to positively facilitate these individuals to flourish and 'live their best life' Staffing Profile: Care Assistants Social Care Workers (Coru registered or evidence of application) It will be a requirement to complete SAMS and FEDS training. The ideal candidate will: Be committed to exploring and developing life tasting opportunities for each individual moving. Be active in supporting each individual to develop their skills and capacity with regard to the development of valued social roles. Be curious and continue to create opportunities for each individual to meet, interact and develop new friendships and relationships with their neighbours and the wider community. While the individuals currently enjoy spending time together, they each have their own interests. All of them use communication pathways outside of the spoken language and have a range of ways of expressing their needs, will and preference. Deep listening to each individual is required in order to gain an understanding of their unique method of communication. Community Mapping is a required skill as staff need to keep up to-date with all local events that may be of interest to them. The staff team will be required to support these individuals to access the ''Universal Good Things of Life'' such as, good health, security, safety, protection, home, friends, purpose to their day, a sense of belonging, access to community life, and opportunities to grow learn and develop. We are recruiting a team who are committed to supporting these individuals to explore their interests in their new community and develop relationships based on their gifts.
