Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or older (or 18 for certain disadvantaged groups) and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for at least one year. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. There will be an opportunity to work towards QQI and/or Industry Standard qualifications.
* Supporting IWA members at our Day Centre in Waterford City.
* Delivering development programmes to members.
* Accompanying members on outings.
* Providing personal care for members.
* Assisting with food service.
* Operating lifting equipment on buses.
* Clamping wheelchairs aboard buses.
* Cleaning and maintenance duties.
The ideal candidate will have:
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* A willingness to engage in training.
