Job Summary:

The

* Ensuring all sales are recorded accurately and highlighting issues, preparing daily sales.
* Reconciliation of daily cash and credit card receipts highlighting any issues to relevant department.
* Prepares all necessary payments for supplier for approval by the Finance Manager.
* Accounts Payable - reconciliation of creditor statements and dealing with supplier queries.
* Accounts Receivable - invoicing and aged debtors' periodic review to ensure payments received as per credit terms.
* Month end preparation e.g., accruals, suppliers accounts reconciled to statement etc.
* Preparation and completion of bank reconciliations.
* Monthly reconciliation of BS accounts.
* VAT return preparation and reconciliation.
* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and reports.
* Prepare statutory financial statements within agreed deadlines while following checklists, procedures, and processes.
* Assist with setting annual budgets.
* Support the Finance Manager with day-to-day accounting operations.
* Backup for weekly and monthly payroll processing.
* Participate in cross-functional projects to support business initiatives and improve overall financial performance.

Job Summary:

The Financial Accountant role is responsible for supporting the Finance Department in ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and efficient processing of transactions. Key duties include daily sales and receipt reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing supplier payments, and maintaining accurate financial reporting. The position involves preparing monthly management accounts, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and supporting statutory reporting. It also contributes to budgeting processes, fixed asset register maintenance, and payroll backup.

Required Experience & Skills

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or accounts assistant role.
* Strong knowledge of financial control processes and reconciliations.
* Required knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel.
* Proficiency in using financial systems, particularly Sage or similar accounting software.
* Experience managing end to end payroll processes.
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
