Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team in Athlone. This role will be involved in the delivery of mechanical building services designs across various sectors. Duties and responsibilities Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams including Electrical Engineers and CAD Technicians. Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders to ensure exceptional technical and service standards. Mentor junior engineers and support their development and integration into project teams. Drive innovation and best practices in mechanical design and sustainability. Contribute to the strategic growth and technical leadership of the business. Candidate Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent). A minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical design, preferably within a consultancy environment. Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services systems. Project experience across multiple sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, or residential. Excellent communication skills with a strong client-facing approach. Ability to manage and deliver projects independently. Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards Chartership (advantageous).
