Job Summary:
The role of a Utility System Owner for Black and Clean Utilities involves providing engineering support for specific assigned plant utility infrastructure, systems, and equipment across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and ensure all systems are in compliance with regulatory requirements, including quality cGDP/GMP's, EHS, Global Engineering directives, and local regulations.
* Develop user requirements for new equipment and modifications to existing equipment and systems from concept through installation, collaborating with stakeholders.
* Maintain and update CMMS data, calibration data sheets, spare parts requirements, PMs, PdMs, job plans, etc., to design cost-effective maintenance schedules.
* Analyze and investigate root-cause failures (Cause Mapping) on chronic/critical/high impact failures.
* Minimize unscheduled equipment downtime through effective preventative and predictive maintenance programs and rapid response to equipment failure.
* Review and accept maintenance reports from vendors and contractors, develop action plans, and raise CMs/PMs/Pdm, etc., to address issues.
* Support audits as the System SME as required.
* Establish high performance standards, including developing metrics to track running costs, efficiency, uptime, etc., for all equipment and systems.
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of a Level 8 BEng qualification in an engineering discipline is required. Five years of experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in a maintenance engineering or utilities role is also necessary.
The candidate should be a team player prepared to lead, work effectively, and efficiently in a team-based environment. A demonstrated ability to provide solutions reflecting understanding of business objectives and cost implications is essential.
Detailed knowledge and experience in operating and designing Utility equipment and systems, as well as the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry, with in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (safety and quality), are required.
