Material Handler II (IQA Inspector) Shift Role – Defined Term 11 Months

Our Material Handlers (IQA Inspectors) work at the heart of operations in Clonmel building the products that help to change lives.

We offer an 11-month fixed-term contract to work on our 2-cycle day & evening shift across our manufacturing lines.
The inspector provides an independent, unbiased evaluation of materials or the work of others.
The results of the inspector's evaluation are documented and communicated to organizational stakeholders with an interest in the evaluation's outcome—typically supplier development and/or manufacturing.
The inspector's approval certifies that the work or material meets Boston's quality system requirements.

Responsibilities
Audit materials or the work of others through examination, inspection, measurement, or test of raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and documentation.
Document non-conformances or suspected non-conformances to standards through identification of unsuccessful audits, completion of required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing a stamp or signature.
Handle discrepant materials per the documented disposition and document activities in the appropriate systems or paperwork.
Communicate the status of audit metrics and other assignments verbally and through completion and publication of periodic reports.
Perform simple statistical analysis through data collection and input into software applications or manual calculations.
Issue, store, count, and maintain inventory in the different storage areas; handle, dispose, transfer, and document hazardous waste appropriately; perform environmental monitoring.
Read, comprehend, and follow basic job instructions and protocols including verbal, written, diagrammed, colored, and other related documents written in English.
Knowledge and experience of SAP & Windchill 10 would be advantageous.
Job Scope and Levelling Guidelines
Solid knowledge of the job and broad understanding of business concepts, procedures, and practices.
Performs routine and some non-routine assignments using standard methods; makes adjustments as directed; exercises limited judgment in troubleshooting proven processes.
Receives close-to-moderate supervision; receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.
Errors may be detected and corrected but may cause moderate loss of time or customer/user dissatisfaction.
Contacts typically within own department and occasionally outside own organization, often involving interpretation of information or data.
Qualification and Experience
Leaving Certificate qualification with Maths & English or FETAC Level 5.
