OverviewRegional Transformation Expert (Cat. II) - NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of an EIB funded project called: Transformation of the Karlovy Vary Region 2026+ and is seeking experts to support the core team during implementation.The overall objective of this assignment is for a consultant (the “Service Provider”) to carry out a study on Karlovy Vary region’s economic opportunities and challenges for the transition to a green economy and energy system (the “Project”).LocationKarlovy Vary Region, Czech Republic.DurationThe intended start date is October 2025 and the services shall be provided for a period of 9 months from this date.Key ExpertRegional transformation expert (Cat. II)Qualifications and skillsAt least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; Industrial Economics or Innovation Management; Environmental or Energy Policy.Fluency in written and spoken English is required (CEFR C1) (minimum requirement).Fluency in written and spoken Czech would be an asset.Computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams).At least 10 years of experience in regional industrial policy or clean technology deployment minimum requirement.At least 10 years of experience in regional industrial policy or clean technology deployment minimum requirement.Minimum 8 years in at least two of the following areas: Regional innovation ecosystems; Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3); Clean tech scale-up and industrial symbiosis minimum requirement.Proven track record in designing and implementing regional transformation strategies, proven by at least one project in the past 5 years (minimum requirement).Experience working with public institutions, industry associations, and international donors, proven by at least three projects in the past 5 years (minimum requirement).Knowledge of EU cohesion policy, Just Transition Mechanism, or similar frameworks, proven by at least three projects in the past 5 years (minimum requirement).Experience working in Czechia will be considered as an asset.International experience will be considered as an asset.How to applyIf you are interested in this opportunity, please apply and upload your CV via LinkedIn or send to recruitment@ntu.eu.
