We are seeking an experienced instructor to deliver professional training to seafood industry personnel and students through the Coastal Training Unit (CTU). This role encompasses delivering essential safety and radio training, as well as supporting digital upskilling initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver and assess fishing industry training, including STCW - Elementary First Aid, STCW - Personal Survival Techniques, and Enhanced Safety Training
* Organize course schedules and locations in response to local industry needs
* Administer courses, including registrations, payments, and assessment records
* Develop and deliver online content for programs and external stakeholders
* Enhance existing IT infrastructure using Canvas Learning platform
* Support the digital literacy of industry stakeholders
* Contribute to IT-related projects, such as training portal redevelopment
Qualifications:
* Deck Officer Certificate of Competency
* Valid STCW Certificates
* GOC (General Operator's Certificate) Radio Certificate
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Knowledge of the Irish seafood or maritime sector
* Qualification or experience in developing and delivering online training content
Requirements:
* Ambition to advance digital training offerings
* Effective time and priority management skills
* Capability to work independently and as part of a team
* Familiarity with Quality Assurance Systems (QAS) and GDPR compliance
Work Environment:
This position involves mobile training unit operations along Ireland's west coast, from Donegal to Kerry. Occasional work at NFCI campuses and other locations may be required.
