Role Purpose
To lead and support the development and implementation of effective communication strategies that promotes Doras Buí’s mission, vision, goals and services. This role ensures consistent messaging, enhances public awareness, and strengthens community engagement within the Board of Managements structure.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and oversee the centre’s communication strategy (internal and external).
* Manage, support and oversee the staffs’ public relations efforts
* Oversee the development the website and social media platforms
* Act as a liaison with local media and community partners where appropriate
* Advise the board on communication trends and opportunities.
* Ensure all communications align with the centre’s values and branding.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
* Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing tools.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse board and community.
Personal Attributes
* Passionate about community development and engagement.
* Creative, proactive, and detail oriented.
* Reliable and able to attend meetings (in person or via zoom)
