Job Overview
As a
Digital Tourism Assistant
, you will play a crucial role in promoting tourism within County Kildare by developing and managing marketing campaigns that attract visitors and support our members. You will work with our small team to enhance brand awareness and increase website traffic through effective digital marketing strategies. This position requires a creative and analytical professional who can build client relationships, manage campaigns, and leverage market insights to drive the organisation's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Marketing Strategy Development.
* Collaborate with the team to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns, encompassing SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, and display advertising.
* Content Creation.
* Produce engaging content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, and social media, to attract tourists and promote Kildare as a top destination.
* Market Research.
* Conduct research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Membership Growth.
* Help grow Into Kildare's membership base.
* Campaign Management.
* Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns aligning with lead generation, brand visibility, and tourism growth goals.
* Performance Analysis.
* Track and analyse key performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness, generating insights to refine strategies and increase return on investment.
* Brand Management.
* Uphold the organisation's brand standards by ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging across all marketing materials and channels.
* Stakeholder Engagement.
* Engage with members and stakeholders, delivering targeted marketing support and providing excellent customer service to build and strengthen relationships.
* Collaborative Projects.
* Support the planning and execution of events, working closely with cross-functional teams and clients to promote Kildare's attractions.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Experience
* 2+ years in a sales or marketing role, ideally with experience in tourism, membership-based organisations, or a similar industry.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, social media, and email marketing best practices.
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Proficiency in marketing tools such as Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, and social media management software.
* Creativity and problem-solving skills.
* Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills
