Colm Quinn BMW Galway is looking for a Service Receptionist.
Your role
As a Service Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for customers arriving for aftersales care. You will play an important role in supporting the Service Advisors and Aftersales Team, ensuring customers are welcomed professionally and their service experience runs smoothly from start to finish.
Your responsibilities:
* Greet all customers in a friendly and professional manner on arrival to the service department.
* Answer incoming calls and emails, assisting with general queries or redirecting to relevant team members.
* Schedule appointments for servicing, maintenance, and repairs using the workshop booking system.
* Maintain clear and accurate records of bookings, customer preferences, and contact details.
* Liaise with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to support smooth workflow within the team.
* Assist with preparing job cards and updating customers on vehicle progress when required.
* Ensure a comfortable and welcoming reception area is maintained at all times.
* Provide basic administrative support such as invoice printing, filing, and data entry.
* Handle payments and issue receipts in a professional and efficient manner.
* Support follow-up communication with customers after service visits, where needed.
Your profile
* Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in the motor industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A friendly, professional, and confident manner in person and over the phone.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in using computers and booking systems (training will be provided).
* A team player with a positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction.
