Financial Accountant Our client a leading Insurer are hiring a FinancialAccountant to join their Dublin team. This is initially being offered on a 9 month FTC with a view to extension. Flexible Hybrid working. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, evolving organisation with a long-term, complex portfolio of policies and new strategic initiatives underway. Youll play a key role in the companys financial reporting, planning, and governance, helping to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely financial information that supports decision-making at every level. About the Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for supporting the companys monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting processes, including consolidation, expense management, and group reporting. The role offers broad exposure across finance, audit, and regulatory reporting activities, with opportunities to get involved in key projects and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly and quarterly financial close processes Oversee expense reporting, allocation, and budget vs. actual analysis Support statutory audit processes and liaise with external auditors Prepare management information reports including key performance and margin analysis Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Ensure accurate and timely completion of group and regulatory reporting Support Solvency II reporting for both Group and Solo entities Maintain robust finance procedures, documentation, and internal controls Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and process enhancements Skills & Experience Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) Big Four or top-tier professional services experience preferred Experience in financial services an advantage Solid knowledge ofIFRS andIrish GAAP Excellent analytical, organisational, and Excel skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Whats is on Offer A collaborative and supportive working culture Hybrid working model (Dublin city centre office) Exposure to complex financial operations within a regulated life insurance environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Competitive salary €60,000 -€65,000 plus benefits package ContactTo discuss this role further or other please contact on or email
