About the role
My client works closely with real estate clients to deliver tailored debt financing solutions. The team supports developers, investors, and asset managers in securing funding for a wide range of needs, including acquisitions, developments, refinancing, and capital restructuring.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end advisory engagements for real estate clients, including strategy development, lender engagement, and transaction execution.
- Structure financing solutions for real estate developments, acquisitions, and portfolio refinancing across sectors such as residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use.
- Build and review complex financial models, including development appraisals and multi-tenant income structures.
- Prepare high-quality transaction materials and marketing documents for presentation to lenders and investors.
- Perform credit analysis and assess market conditions to support funding recommendations.
- Negotiate term sheets and financing agreements with banks, alternative lenders, and institutional investors.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, senior lenders, mezzanine financiers, and equity partners.
- Support business development through pitch work, relationship building, and deal origination.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge development and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in real estate debt advisory, structured finance, real estate banking, or corporate finance.
- Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to build detailed real estate models from the ground up.
- Experience in multi-tenant cash flow modelling and complex rental income analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate capital structures, including senior debt, mezzanine, preferred equity, and common equity.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, or equivalent are preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in client and lender-facing roles.
