Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resident Engineer to join our team on a significant road/cycling/active travel initiative in the eastern part of Galway City. The project is set to commence in Summer 2024, and we are seeking a skilled professional to oversee its delivery.
The Resident Engineer will be responsible for on-site supervision, administration, monitoring, and inspection of construction activities, working closely with a full-time Senior Resident Engineer and Clerk of Works/Inspector.

Main Responsibilities
* Supervise and inspect the construction of roadworks, including pavement, drainage, ducting, signage, and lighting.
* Collaborate with a full-time Senior Resident Engineer and Clerk of Works/Inspector to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
* Experience in supervising and inspecting construction projects, particularly in the field of roadworks.
* Eagerness to pursue Chartered Engineer status.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
